Thiajal, affectionately known as Thia, graduated from the University of KwaZulu-Natal in 2021 and completed her community service at Estcourt District Hospital in rural KwaZulu-Natal in 2022. It was during this formative year that her passion for both people and the physiotherapy profession was deeply cemented.

Following her community service, Thia worked in a variety of physiotherapy practices, each with a unique clinical focus. This broad exposure allowed her to gain invaluable experience across multiple areas of physiotherapy. She has since developed a keen interest in paediatrics, neurological rehabilitation, and cardiorespiratory care.

Thia is a strong advocate for patient-centred therapy, always aiming to tailor her treatment plans to the individual needs of each patient. Striving to learn and grow as a physiotherapist, she actively keeps up with the latest clinical research and advances in physiotherapy. Her commitment to ongoing education reflects her dedication to improving not only her patients’ quality of life but also that of their families.

  Outside of work, she is an avid reader, coffee enthusiast and quite enjoys being out in nature! She believes that no act of kindness is “too small” and strives to give back wherever possible.
  Thia joined the team in September 2025 and is based at the Oasis Care Centre.
