Alison completed her BSc Physio at UCT in 1993; she then worked at Groote Schuss Hospital for over a year before heading to the UK and then on to New Zealand to gain more experience. She returned to Cape Town in 1999 and worked in a private practice partnership until November 2006 when she went out on her own and relocated to Millennium Business Park in Century City. She started her onsite physiotherapy practice at Old Mutual Head Office in 2004 on a part time basis and has really enjoyed growing the practice into a branch of its own.

Ongoing education has always been important to her and she has attended many courses in South Africa, United Kingdom and New Zealand. After completing her SPT 1 (Sports Physiotherapy Post Grad course) she served on the Western Cape and SA Sports Group committee for many years. She has recently completed her Exercise is Medicine accreditation as well as multiple Pain Management course and shall complete the Certificate in Pain Management in 2021.

In 2020 she completed the APPI Clinical Pilates course and also completed the Pinc and Steel International Oncology rehab physio course. She is excited to offer appropriate and much needed rehab services to oncology patients, especially having gained oncology experience in the UK.

In  2021 she did the New Zealand based  Bradcliff Breathing Level 1 Course and in 2022 Alison completed her Certificate in Pain Management through the Train Pain Academy.

She divides her time between clinical work as well as practice management, staff development and keeping the practice at the forefront of physiotherapy research and innovation.
